Sujet : Jeune femme polynésienne et cochon. Localisation non précisée. Cette collection de plaques photographiques a été prise au cours de deux expéditions archéologiques, menées par William Scoresby Routledge et sa femme Katherine Routledge Maria. La majorité de la collection a été photographiée pendant la «Mana Expedition» en 1913 à 1915 à l’île de Pâques, qui s’est également arrêtée au Chili et Juan Fernandez Islands. Les expéditions ultérieures de Mangareva, Raivavae et Rapa Iti ont été menées en 1921-1923. Le nom du photographe est inconnu, cependant, Routledge indique clairement dans son livre qu’une personne anonyme a été employé en particulier pour prendre des photos. Il est fortement possible que Katherine Routledge Maria ait joué un rôle important en donnant au photographe des consignes sur quoi photographier et comment.
